the smith family: family portrait shoot

 Last Sunday I had the joy of hanging out with the Smith family at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Not only are they hilarious and filled with laughter and funny faces, but we also had some of the best weather imaginable for the beginning of December! After spending a few minutes inside, we were able to spend the majority of our time running around the outside of the Conservatory in some of my favorite spots in all of Chicago. Wrestling, racing, skipping rocks and exploring new places on the grounds were just some of our morning activities. Our time together reminded me of how awesome it is to grow up being loved so much by your parents and having the freedom and space to explore and grow into a young person. You guys are doing an amazing job with your boys and I pray that God would continue to bless your home with fun, laughter and energy not only for your children, but also in service to His larger kingdom through the many people that you care for on a daily basis.
