the swanner family: maternity shoot

Last week I had the joy of celebrating the adorable and seriously pregnant Swanner Family downtown in Chicago's Lurie Gardens. What a blast! It is so clear that this couple's marriage is full of laughter, adventure and slobbery dog kisses. Nick and Sarah have a very comfortable relationship as they have known each-other for most of their lives. It was not until they got married however that they actually became best-friends. It was so exciting to see them discuss and explore this new season of their lives as they prepare for the newest member in their home! Swanner Family, with all necessary things ready to go, I pray that you will relish in this unique and sweet stage of expectation before you can physically cover your first born child in your tender love and affection. May your home always be filled with laughter and joy! Congratulations!

the tsan family: family portrait shoot

Last weekend I had the opportunity to get to know the Tsan Family and their adorable baby girl Evelyn! Evelyn will celebrate her first birthday in a matter of weeks, so it was only fitting to document her in this adorable and unique stage of her life; full of exploration, learning to walk and teething. Jeff and Susan wanted to celebrate this by taking pictures in the park where they pushed her in her stroller. Without skipping a beat, Evelyn directed us to her favorite landmarks and places to crawl. It is so clear that this little girl is very smart, deeply loved by both her parents and that she will grow up smothered in kisses and bedtime stories. Happy Birthday Evy, God bless your home and parents in these formative years.

ashlyn and collin: wedding

A few weekends ago I had the joy of second shooting with Chrystl Roberge Photography, which enabled me to do what I love best: take pictures free of stress/logistics and keep my eye of the beautiful couple as they relate to one another, their friends and their family on the day of their wedding. Ashlyn and Collin were a dream couple, not just because they were amazingly attractive, but also because they were kind, gentle, down-to-earth, expressive and loved to laugh. They had never kissed before their wedding day and so it was such an honor to see them experience this new dynamic of their relationship as they celebrated being one flesh. It was so clear that these two had so much love for each other that was an overflow of the love and support that they had experienced from so many. It was truly an honor to be present on their wedding day and wish them the best in this new and exciting season of their lives. Congratulations!
